P.D.: Where does the name Rhett William Lesh come from?
D.L.: The name "Rhett" is after my oldest friend James Rhett Murfitt. "William" is after my uncle Bill Maley.
P.D.: How is Porter taking the news of his new brother?
D.L.: He's fairly apathetic about it. He hasn't quite wrapped his head around the fact that he won't be the center of attention anymore.
P.D.: How's mom doing?
D.L.: She's sore, very sore. Delivery was quite tough but ultimately a success. She should be coming home tomorrow.
P.D.: And Rhett?
D.L.: He's been in the neonatal intensive care unit from the beginning, but he's doing well. He's starting to eat on his own though he still has a feeding tube. He's badly bruised but any Lesh can take a punch. He'll be home soon.
P.D.: And how are you holding up?
D.L.: Any new child will cut into your drinking and television time, and Rhett is no exception. I'm holding up as well as can be expected.
P.D.: Do you have any advice for new / expectant fathers?
D.L.: Bring your cell phone charger to the hospital.
